Waltine “Walt” Nauta is a 40 year old Navy Veteran who currently works as Donald Trump’s body man.
During Trump’s presidency he was stationed at the White House as a valet, and then became a personal aide and bodyman to Trump in August 2021.
Nauta has been implicated in the federal investigation into Trump’s allegedly unlawful retention of classified documents, and has been indicted on six criminal counts.
He is alleged to have packed boxes with papers that included confidential and sensitive national security information that Trump took with him to Mar-a-Lago and to have moved those boxes around the property to conceal them from Trump’s attorney and investigators. The indictment states that he then lied to federal investigators about how the classified documents had been moved and where they had been stored.
Nauta is also alleged to have taken and shared pictures of spilled documents that contained a visible “5 eyes only” designation – meaning the document was meant to be shared only with intelligence communities and those cleared to view such documents in the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
